Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Disney World

The Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Disney World attraction is located in the Magic Kingdom in Frontierland. This fun wooden coaster ride veers "out of control" through a western mining town. This is a don't miss attraction for ages 8 and up. If you're 8+ year old hasn't tried a roller coaster before, this is a great one to try. Not too intense, but plenty of fun for all.

Ages 3-5- The little ones need to be 40 inches to meet the height requirement. Even so, this ride is a bit much for these ages. Take your younger ones to the Country Bear Jamboree while the rest of the family rides Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

Ages 6-10- If you have a fearless 6 or 7 year old, then this ride may be ok for them. Generally, kids ages 8 and up will have a blast. It's just enough twists, turns, and dips, without being too overwhelming.

Ages 11 and up- Teens will also enjoy this ride, although it is definitely not a thrill ride. Adults who aren't big into the intense coasters will find this lots of fun.
