The Carousel Of Progress attraction is located in Magic Kingdom's Tomorrowland. It is a fun tribute to technology advances over the past century. The ride profiles one American family from the late 1800s to present day- narrating on how their latest new technology improves their lives. From indoor plumbing and washing machines to modern day technology, the family make comments and even predictions on what technology will or won't be in the future. A nice nostalgic trip down memory lane for parents, and fun for the kids to see how past generations lived without our high technology.
Check out this video below to see what it's like to be inside the attraction. Even though the video does a nice job recreating the experience, there is nothing like being there experiencing all the special effects.
Be sure to check out the age recommendations below.
Ages 3-6- Kids younger than 6 probably won't get much too much out of the ride, except for enjoying the catchy song "A great big beautiful tomorrow..." However, there is rarely a wait, and is a nice afternoon resting spot.
Ages 7-10- Kids are amazed that people actually lived without Tvs or even the Wii. Kids this age enjoy watching how technology has changed throughout the ages.
Ages 11 and up- This attraction is a nice break from some of the more action-packed rides and attractions. Parents enjoy the nostalgia of different generations, and teens get the chance to look at how people lived at different times, and without modern conveniences.
