Disney World Fireworks

There are three Disney World fireworks displays available within the parks. These include Illuminations, Wishes, and Fantasmic.

Illuminations- Reflections Of Earth

Illuminations is a beautiful laser light presentation of streaming fountains and colored lasers synchronized to show-stopping music. It takes place in Epcot's World Showcase, typically right before park closing.

Be prepared to come very early in order to get a good seat these Disney World fireworks. Many people claim their spots even two hours before the show begins. If you don't mind standing, you will probably find somewhere see the display, but probably not from the best vantage point.

Be prepared for the mass Exodus of people after the show is over. If you want to leave the park quickly, view Illuminations at either the Canada or Mexico Pavilion. Otherwise, chose a spot at the back of World Showcase so you can let the others fight the crowds. Grab a tasty dessert in Norway or a glass of wine in France and relax!

Wishes Nighttime Spectacular Magic Kingdom

Wishes is the equivalent to Illuminations, but held at the Magic Kingdom. It is breathtaking to see Cinderella's castle illuminated and set to a melodic music score, as well as a great display of pyrotechnics. You even have special visits from your favorite Disney World characters, including a fly-by from Peter Pan and Tinkerbell.

As with Illuminations, you will want to arrive nice and early. The most crowded area is Main Street, since everyone has the same idea to line up where it is quickest to exit. Keep in mind, the lights are turned off within the perimeter of Main Street, so there can be a bit of bumping into other people. We almost had our camera tripod kicked over since it is so difficult for people to see in the dark. If you prefer a less crowded area and don't need to leave the parks right after the show, view from Tomorrowland.

Fantasmic

Located in Hollywood Studios, this exciting presentation of pyrotechnics and special effects bring to life your favorite princes, princess, heroes, and even villains. Mickey stars in his role a Sorcerer's Apprentice, and battles the evil villains in order to save the day. This is a don't miss-attraction.

A great way to get the best seats in the amphitheater is to choose the Fantasmic dinner package deal. Restaurants you can choose from include the Brown Derby, Hollywood and Vine, or Mama Melrose - with prices ranging from the $24-$37 per adult depending on which restaurant you choose. You are guaranteed a good seat within the amphitheater, although you will still have to arrive early for the Disney World fireworks nonetheless.
