Disney World restaurants are a wonderful part of the fun. Visiting Disney World has often been voted one of the best experiences of a lifetime by many, but part of that reasoning is the magnificent Disney World restaurants!
Walt Disney World offers a tremendous assortment of dining opportunities, ranging from quick service snacks, to downright decadent intimate dining. First understand that Disney World is broken up into four separate kingdoms, thus we will review each kingdom separately.

Animal Kingdom
Inside this kingdom can be found the Rainforest Café. This restaurant features delightful food prepared the California way. They are open for lunch and dinner.
You may also enjoy Tusker House, which features fast-food but with a Disney flair.
EPCOT
Yakitori House features Japanese food such as teriyaki cuisine. The Japanese gardens and waterfall make this a unique place to eat.
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall located in the Norway pavilion serves an enormous buffet filled with time-honored Norwegian delicacies. It also features a princess storybook character meal for the children.
Nine Dragons found in the China pavilion serves Shanghai, Mandorin Cantonese, and Szechuan cuisines.
Biergarten found in the Germany pavilion has the Octoberfest atmosphere and serves authentic German fare in its tremendous buffet.
Teppanyaki Dining Room specializes in the typical Japanese steakhouse communal table fare, and is located in the Japanese pavilion.
Cantina de San Angel is located in the Mexico pavilion and serves Mexican fast-food. Also, The San Angel Inn, a romantic full service restaurant, serves authentic Mexican meals.
The Coral Reef restaurant found in the Living Seas pavilion serves expertly made seafood with an excellent view of the Living Seas Aquarium.
The Kringla Bakeri og Kafe can be located in the Norway pavilion and it serves incredible pastries and Norwegian sandwiches.
Sommerfest serves fast food sandwiches in the German fashion and it is found in the Germany pavilion.
Le Cellier Steakhouse found in the Canadian pavilion features steak specialties served in a wine cellar atmosphere.
Rose & Crown Pub and Dining Room located in the United Kingdom pavilion features foods renowned in the UK including fish and chips.
Les Chefs de France found in the French pavilion is actually three restaurants in the pavilion. Les Chefs de France is for a totally gastronomical French adventure, the Bistro de Paris serves a formal French dining experience, and there’s an outdoor dining area as well.
Lotus Blossom Café is a fast food Chinese favorite and it is found in the China pavilion.
Marrakesh in the Morocco pavilion serves Moroccan cuisine including sampler platters.
Sunshine Seasons in the Land pavilion is a food court that will undoubtedly please all palates.
Tempura Kiku in the Japan pavilion serves Japanese fare, but especially tempura favorites.
Magic Kingdom
Cinderella’s Royal Table is a fairy tale dining experience located in Cinderalla castle itself, and thus it is incredibly popular. They serve American cuisine. They also host “character” breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is also one of the busiest Disney World Restaurants.
Columbia Harbour House in Liberty Square features American seafood and other American preparations.
Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café with a food court atmosphere is found on Main Street and it serves typically American food. There’s even a Kosher meal available!
Liberty Tree Tavern found in Liberty Square serves early American foods. It has a “character” dinner available.
Pecos Bills located in Frontierland serves up fast food American style.
El Pirata y Perico serves quick Mexican fare and is in Adventureland.
The Plaza Restaurant found on Main Street serves typical American sandwiches and ice cream specialties.
Tony’s Town Square Restaurant on Main Street, features various kinds of Italian cuisine.
MGM Hollywoood Studios
Hollywood Brown Derby found on Hollywood Blvd. Is one of best reproductions among the Disney World restaurants. It is a white linen upscale dining experience as much as its true Hollywood counterpart.
Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano is located in the movie set of New York City, and of course has Italian specialties.
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant
Found close to the Indiana Jones Spectacular, this is one filled with gimmicks that the kids are sure to love. You will be seated in a 50’s style convertible and bellhops will bring your selections to your “car” as you watch the Sci-fi movies being shown. They serve American “drive-in-movie” food.
The Toy Story Pizza Planet is located in the Muppets Courtyard and of course serves pizza. There’s also an adjoining game arcade.
50’s Prime Time Café is located close to the Indiana Jones Spectacular and is definitely a Disney World restaurant that will bring back memories to the older adults, and yet is filled with fun for the kids. Serves home-style American food.
Character Meals
A quick word in warranted about some of the “character meals” offered. If you have young children this can be the highlight of their trip to Disney World. The Contemporary Resort hosts Chef Mickey’s breakfasts and dinners with a host of Disney characters to amaze the children. There is also a Crystal Palace Buffet in the Magic Kingdom with such characters as Pooh, Tigger and others.
Dining Plan
The Disney Dining Plan, offered in conjunction with the Disney World Resorts, is certainly one where most families will get a tremendous boost in their budget as well as possible seating time advantages. It may cut out extremely long waits for the better choices. Thus, it is highly recommended for visiting the various Disney World Restaurants. There is a range of limitations to the plans offered, such as the normal Dining Plan, the Deluxe Dining, the Disney Dining Plan plus Wine & Dine and Deluxe Dining plus Wine & Dine.
