The Dumbo ride in Disney World has been a staple for many decades. It's one of the must-see rides, sometimes only for the sake of having the memory. Extremely popular with the preschool set, your little ones won't let you pass by without flying with Dumbo. You can control how high or low you fly with the joystick in your car.
Check out this video below to see what it's like to ride Dumbo. Even though the video does a nice job recreating the experience, there is nothing like being there experiencing all the special effects.
Be sure to check out the age recommendations below.
Ages 3-6- This ride was made for kids in this age group, particularly with the preschoolers. It is a ride you want your kids to experience at least once. However, I think the long lines limit how many times you'll ride again. Also, it is so similar to neighborhood carnival rides that you can do in your hometown, that I hate to waste precious Disney time. If your kids love it, by all means it's worth the wait.
Ages 7-10- Even the seven year olds will probably be bored with this one. They are better served with something more age appropriate in Fantasyland like Snow White's Scary Adventures or Mickey's Philharmagic.
Ages 11 and up- Most of the attractions in Fantasyland are just too young for teens. Adults on the other hand can appreciate most of these rides, especially watching their own kids light up with excitement. Not having done Fantasyland before I had kids, it was the highlight of my trip watching them light up in excitement.
