Honey I Shrunk the Audience ride attraction is very popular with families. This 3-D attraction is based on the movie Honey I Shrunk the Kids. Be sure to rent it prior to your Disney vacation so the kids can appreciate the attraction even more. Dr. Wayne Szalinksi is about to win Inventor of the Year award before things go awry. The audience is shrunk, the family pet snake gets loose, and mice are replicated more times than you can count. Aside for the visual effects, you actually feel mouse scurrying across your legs as well. It's one amazing attraction.
Check out this video below to see what it's like to be inside Honey I Shrunk the Audience. Even though the video does a nice job recreating the experience, there is nothing like being there experiencing all the special effects.
Be sure to check out the age recommendations below.
Ages 3-6- Most kids should enjoy this attraction, but it is pretty loud and frenetic. If your child is afraid of snakes or mice, be sure to take off his/her 3-D glasses. The scenes will be way less intense as they "pop out" of the screen. Also, have them put up their legs to avoid the scurrying mice feeling towards the end.
Ages 7-10- Kids 7-10 love this attraction and all the sensations. A big snake popping out of you? Wonderful. Scurrying mice on your legs and feet? Even better.
Ages 11 and up- This attraction is fun for both teens and adults. Sure, most of us have seen 3-D movies, but nothing compares to this one that works all of your senses!
