Sounds Dangerous With Drew CareySounds Dangerous With Drew Carey is located in Disney's Hollywood Studios. In this audio attraction, you wear headphones and listen as Drew goes on his adventures with buzzing killer bees, get a haircut, and go to the circus. This attraction demonstrates sound effects in movie production. It is interesting how much intensity an attraction produces even when it relies on 1 sense- hearing. The attraction is an interesting concept, but it doesn't get very good reviews. From my point of view, this is the one of the few Disney World rides that you can easily skip. It is more loud and annoying than entertaining. And, little ones (under 7) are likely to be unnerved by all the loud noises. Check out this audio below to see what it's like inside the Malestrom Epcot ride. Even though the video does a nice job recreating the experience, there is nothing like being their experiencing all the special effects. If you wear a hearing aid, turn it waaay down! It is very loud and in the dark for a good part of the attraction. Imagine having a three year old in the dark with loud killer bees swarming around his head! Very intense and not worth frightening the kids over. Ages 7-11- My 7 year old thought it was too intense, so we took off his headphones. The dark wasn't an issue for him, so he managed to do fine. For the older ones, they should do fine. As much as kids in this age range are used to full multi-media, an attraction that is focused just on sound is a very different concept. My 10 year old thought it was just ok. Ages 12 and up- Teens are used to the loud booming noises, so this is not likely to put them off. Like the 8-11 year olds, they are used to more full multi-media effects, so this one may not be rated highly. As for adults, I think many of us are just put off by the noise. Sounds Dangerous With Drew Carey is a great concept, just not geared to reach an adult audience.
