The Land Disney WorldThe Land Disney World attraction is an interesting boat ride through greenhouses and an aquaculture center. Disney has a cutting edge research center that develops news ways of growing plants, including hydroponics and aeroponics. Check out how they grow tomatoes and pumpkins on trees, as well as develop new types of plants. You can also see their fish farming center (or aquaculture) where they raise tons of different types of fish and even alligators. Check out this video below to see what it's like to be inside The Land Disney World attraction. Even though the video does a nice job recreating the experience, there is nothing like being there experiencing all the special effects. Be sure to check out the age recommendations below. I recommend these discount Disney World and Orlando tickets for great deals on park tickets and Orlando attractions as well as this site for the best Orlando hotel deals. 7 minutes, 6 seconds Ages 3-6- While the plant growing may not be the most interesting thing for kids this age, there are also really neat scenes with deserts and backdrops of midwest farms (complete with prairie dogs popping up). They'll also enjoy seeing the live fish and alligators. Ages 7-10- Kids really enjoy all the different types of plants, and the science behind more efficient plant production. It's a quick, relaxing ride that is a nice break from some of the more intense attractions. Ages 11 and up- Teens with some interest in science should appreciate this one. Adults find it really interesting- especially those with a green thumb. This is one of my favorite Disney World rides- one that I have to see several times throughout my visit. Every time I see it, I want to give hydroponics a try!
