Walt Disney World Weather

Walt Disney World Weather Conditions By Month

January/February/March

Highs are in the low 70’s to upper 70’s as you head into March. Lows are typically in the 50’s. Most resorts offer heated pools, so you are more than likely able to take a dip during the warmer days even in January.

April & May

Highs are in the low 80s in April, and climb to the mid to upper 80s in May. Lows are in the lower 50s. April is our absolute favorite time of year to head to Disney. We get to leave behind our Ohio winters and get out into the sun. Unfortunately, many other people have the exact same idea. The parks are typically very crowded this time of year.

June- August

Highs are usually in the 90s with lows in the 70s. Many people prefer to go to Disney World after the kids get out of school in June, and before it gets too hot. If you go during this time of year, be sure to pack the shades, sunscreen, and wear light-colored clothing.

I recommend these discount Disney World and Orlando tickets for great deals on park tickets and Orlando attractions as well as this site for the best Orlando hotel deals.

September- December

Highs are in the mid 80s for October and slowly drop to high 70s in November, and low 70s in December. Lows decline as well, from the 60s in October to 50s in November and December.

September and October are hurricane season, so you do take the chance of heavy rain. A number of years ago, we spent the weekend at WDW during the remnants of a heavy tropical storm. We weren’t quite prepared, so we (along with many others) purchased the well-known Disney rain slickers and toughed it out.

Because of the wide drop temperatures in late fall, be sure to bring warmer clothes to change into if staying into the evening.

Despite the time of year, Walt Disney World weather conditions should never hold you back from visiting. Some months are more ideal than others, but Disney World is always worth the travel!

...Check out the one Disney World system I recommend for saving thousands on your next Disney World vacation, including getting $200 off park tickets, slashing your food expenses – without sacrificing the fun of eating out, and beating long lines at the parks by knowing the "shortcuts" to bypassing the crowds. This great system is written by a former Disney employee who knows the ins and outs of all the money-saving and time saving tips and tricks. I have saved thousands with these tips, and estimate we see 40% more attractions than other WDW guests.
